Every once in a while I manage to convince myself that if I just keep trying, I can figure out the perfect bolus / timing / portion combo to have a bowl of cereal without completely wrecking my blood sugar.
Cereal is evil! Even the oh-so-innocent Cheerios. BUT..yesterday my sweetie woke a little early as her Dexcom was singing she was low..so I just gave her 15 carbs of Cheerios. She LOVED getting to have the cereal, and it brought her BG up beautifully.
I'm a Knitter living with Type 1 Diabetes. I'm not a medical professional nor am I giving medical advice - I'm just a girl sharing my personal thoughts and experiences with diabetes. I live in New England with my wonderful husband, my adorable cat, and lots and lots of yarn.
Still, it's not terrible - You were close & I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteI have given up on cereal! The only time I can eat it is when I mix a half cup of dry Cheerios and a quarter cup of nuts for a snack.
ReplyDeleteI can totally hear you saying "nope!" and vowing to never eat cereal again!
ReplyDeleteBut... but... but cereal is so yummy!
